• This Series: This is a 10-week overview of God creating order, purpose, and function on the earth, the rebellion of mankind against divine authority, and God’s unfolding plan to redeem creation and mankind back to its original purpose through faith and grace.
• This Week: God’s plan of redemption starts with one man, then with one family, who later becomes one nation. God pursues Abraham and calls him to trust and follow Him. God initiates this relationship, and the redemption clock begins to tick.
Key Phrase: “And all the nations of the earth will be blessed through you…” Gen. 12:3

• This Week: Although cleansed by the flood, mankind’s DNA of sin and rebellion continues. Religion officially started as man make his attempt to gain access to God through his own efforts. God stops them in their tracks by scattering people with new languages.
Key Phrase: “Let’s build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens...” Gen. 11:4

• This Week: Sin inside the human heart is a deadly combination. After a short while on planet earth, humans had become so wicked that every inclination of their heart was for doing evil. Things were so out of control, God had to restore order by bringing judgment to earth.
Key Phrase: “But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.” Gen. 6:8

• This Week: Ever since creation, Satan has twisted order to chaos, truth to lies, and beauty to ashes. He desires everything to return to what it was before creation: darkness. In Genesis 3, we see the first picture of atonement and the first promise of a Messiah.

• This Week: The Author of Creation brings order and beauty out of the darkness. Creation displays the WOW and WONDER of God. However, creating humans in His own image was the crowning work of His creation.
