• This Series: There are phrases people say that sound true and they come from the Bible. Also, if something is repeated enough times, people tend to believe it. Therefore, we need to fact-check these phrases from scripture to determine their truthfulness.
• This Week: Jeremiah 29:11 is the most feel-good verse in all of scripture. However, in context, do you understand what it really means? Misunderstanding this verse can deceive, disappoint, and disillusion people against God when their life, marriage, and/or health doesn’t improve. Ultimately, God has a wonderful eternity for every follower. However, many followers will struggle in this sin-filled world until then.

• This Week: Many people use Matthew 7:1 in an attempt to silence their critics, interpreting Jesus’ meaning as “You don’t have the right to tell me I’m wrong.” Taken in isolation, Jesus’ command “Do not judge” does indeed seem to preclude all negative assessments. However, there is much more to the passage than those three words.
